The aim of the course is to critically expose the students to the tenets of Marxism. It is also to get the students familiar with the structure and organization of governments which practiced or are practicing Marxist form of government.
The thoughts of Karl Marx are products of social-economic condition in the historical times. Therefore, in order for the students to sufficiently understand and appreciate the teachings of Marx, attempt will be made to explore those social-economic conditions in Europe which prevailed at that time, which were argued to have instigated the writing of Karl Marx.
